Ok, First of all, AERO is REQUIRED. This is a temporary measure as i get Non Aero / XP graphics effect compatable.
This app is actually both Unity AND Gnome 3 in one app, but it's set up to run in the gnome 3 UI and cant be changed, for now. If you want to keep the 1.0.0.7 Unity build AND this, download this, extract to a different folder name, and re-name this.
In the next build you should be able to choose between the two of them and swap back and forth.
I actually ended up improving the file scan and icon generator routine, it now checks for the files, checks for start up folders, and if the .lnk has a discription, it uses that as the tool tip, if not, then the file name.
The config box is getting a Help area thanks to a user, he is going to be credited, of course.
Some things of note...
* The only config option that currently has any impact on the Gnome 3 UI is Tile Size. Thats it. I am working on it.
* Eventually you can choose where to put the "Button" but for now, it's top left hand corner.
* It's Faster. Dont ask me how I did it, I dont know.
* You can drag and drop a custom image (png, bmp, jpg only) on to the "Button" and it will set it as the button, and save it for future use.
* The clock up top is set to be 12 hour format FOR NOW. It will be able to be swapped between 12 hour and 24 hour.
And some stuff I know i am forgetting because I am tired.
I was originally NOT going to release this, but once I got the Icons to align up right and got some small enhancements in (better .lnk processing) I decided to release it.
It HAS come to my attention that some of the folders have long, very long, file names. Windows has a limit for what is a "good" file name / Folder path. I have a way to trim it down a bit... but it's not in this code version yet. You have a LongPath/Foldername error happen to you, i know about it, and i am working on it.
Anyway... Have fun. More progress tomorrow and the next day I think, because according to the weather man, it's going to be raining all the time, both days. Perfect programming days.

Another bug ive found as well, which has just come to my attention, is that when you right click the top corner button it totally vanishes? Although im assuming this right click closes the program? Because toggling to the processes its no longer running?
Replacing the button works fine for me as well. However is there a way to revert to default? Or will there be in future releases?
